Morgan Termite and Pest Control!
Protect Pets from
Poisons
There has been
a lot of news recently about certain pet foods causing sickness or
even death to pets. It's not just pet foods, but also common
household substances that are dangerous to our pets. These need to
be eliminated or made inaccessible to pets. Here are some common,
but hazardous, substances to keep away from pets:
Antifreeze
(ethylene glycol) can leak out of your car's radiator. This
substance is an ongoing problem because it is sweet to the taste,
but can be lethal to pets that lick it up. Propylene glycol is an
alternative antifreeze that is safer to use.
Foods like
chocolate, any coffee or tea product that contains caffeine, and
grapes or raisins.
Medications,
including aspirin and acetaminophen, and vitamins like iron and
zinc.
Certain plants are toxic if a pet ingests enough of them.
It is also
important to use our professional pest management services to
control pests rather than to do it yourself. An obvious benefit is
that when you use our services you don't have to store pesticides.
But also because of our training and experience you can count on us
to apply pesticides properly, so there is less risk to your pets.
Studies also show that most homeowners who apply pesticides
themselves either choose an incorrect
product, don't apply or store it properly, and/or use more than
needed.
